FURRY FALL FESTIVAL

An upcoming festival hosted by the Young-Williams Animal Center will give animal lovers the opportunity to learn about pet-related resources around Knoxville, including adoption specials and discount coupons available at the center.

The Furry Fall Festival will be held Sunday, November 5, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the center at 3201 Division St. All activities are free and open to the public, and pets are invited, too.

Activities will include live music from K-Town Music, food trucks, pet microchipping and microchip registration ($10); rabies vaccinations by the Knox County Health Department ($10); information about the center’s adoption program; and a kid zone with face painting and crafts.

Representatives from local animal rescue organizations will be present, and some will have adoptable animals on site.

“Our festival is unique because it brings together pet owners and potential pet owners as well as our wonderful partners in the animal welfare community,” says Janet Testerman,  CEO of Young-Williams Animal Center.
