Through its Bazillion Blooms community-wide tree-planting program, Dogwood Arts along with corporate and community support has planted more than 8,600 new dogwoods in 9 years. Knoxville’s iconic Dogwood Trails were created in 1955 to help beautify our neighborhoods. As the landscape ages, it has become increasingly important to revitalize tree plantings along these trails and throughout our region to ensure their beauty continues into the future.
You can keep East Tennessee blooming for years to come by also planting other flowering trees and shrubs, bulbs and perennials this fall. The fall gardening season is the best time to plant because it helps your plants develop strong root systems during the winter, giving them a healthier start.
You may purchase disease-resistant dogwood trees by clicking on the button above or by calling 637-4561 through November 13th. These 2′-4′ bare-root trees are available for $25 each or five for $100. Trees must be picked up on Saturday, December 2nd at UT Gardens between 9am and 12pm.
